Drawing inspiration from the everyday rituals of French bread culture, the design centered on a set of timeless architectural principles – hierarchy, proportion, and balance – creating a space that feels both intentional and effortless.
Every design element was carefully considered to reflect the warm, tactile qualities of freshly baked bread, bringing a sense of softness and familiarity to the space.
Central to the experience is a sweeping curved plaster ceiling that introduces volume and movement without overwhelming the room. Beyond its sculptural presence, it serves as a subtle wayfinding element, guiding customers toward the counter while defining the bakery’s primary point of interaction. Delicate illuminated display boxes showcase fresh goods, thoughtfully integrated shelving supports both front-of-house staff and bakers working beyond, and a vertical baguette display serves as both storage and visual landmark.
Together, these elements create a space where function and beauty work in harmony.
